Eye injuries and trauma can require special equipment to treat properly. Our eye first aid care emergency kit provides not only the basics, but includes a dye and cobalt blue filter light to detect corneal abrasions (eye lacerations). The Special eye magnet and loop is designed to lift metallic debris out of the eye (with the magnet side) and gently scrape off foreign bodies (with the loop side). Protective supplies include eye pads, 2x2 gauze pads, plastic eye shields and eye patches. To examine the eye, a magnifying glass is provided.

More supplies are included than the pictures reflect.

Two written instructions for using the dye and blue light, and how to use the eye magnet and loop are included, as well as Dr. Alton's Eye Trauma article.

Pink Eye Care (cure is best with ophthalmic antibiotic treatment):

  • Make a chamomile tea (1 tea bags to 1/2-1 cup of water) and use the liquid as an eye wash, using an eye cup or use with a moist cloth as a compress (soaked cotton balls, washcloth or gauze). The wet teabag can be placed directly on the affected eye as well.
  • Mix honey with warm water (1/2 tablespoon of raw honey to 1/2-1 cup warm water). Use as an eye wash or moist compress.

    Eye Care Emergency Kit

Posted by Gary on 25th Mar 2022

The eye care emergency kit is outstanding. This is the most complete kit I’ve seen on the market and includes supporting practical application information. My hard earned experience can attest to the needs for the eye magnet and loop. They are worth the value of the kit alone if you ever need them.

Great kit. I like having all the medical supplies for this type of injury all in one kit. This much easier to treat patients.

    Eye Care Emergency Kit

Posted by Chris Hooper on 19th Dec 2021

As are all emergency kits from Joe & Amy, this Eye Care Kit is well thought out and includes everything you would need to support eye injury care in an emergency situation. Immediate action is needed for eye injuries, so having everything at hand can prevent further traumatic damage which may lead to permanent loss of vision. But, like anything else, having previous knowledge of the necessary treatment is essential. It is imperative that you become familiar with the proper care prior to the need. The Alton's articles on eye care are very comprehensive and should be thoroughly studied before the need arises. Just having the emergency kit doesn't do much good unless you know how to use it in stressful situations. Thanks Joe & Amy for coming up with a very useful product.

This is very high quality like all of Doom and Bloom's kits. It has some great tools included and is a complete emergency eye care kit.
